Description

This placemat was born from a piece of fine vintage linen (about 86×80 cm), once part of an old bridal trousseau. Its soft, delicate weave carries the passage of time — the quiet care of hands that knew how to wait, to weave, and to pass things on.

The hand embroidery depicts a radiant tree, from which rays of energy spread through the leaves. The tree has always been a universal symbol of life, grounding, and renewal — a bridge between earth and sky, between what nourishes and what uplifts. In its roots lives memory, in its branches the desire to grow, and in its leaves the light that renews all things.

The natural cotton thread follows the trunk’s form with a meditative rhythm, tracing the flow of vegetal energy and turning the fabric into a small luminous landscape. Its size makes it perfect for moments of stillness, listening, or quiet connection: a cup of tea, a conversation, a pause that becomes a ritual — an open book, a thought taking root.

“Geografie del nido” continues its story of autobiographical textiles — objects that weave together memory, gesture, and nature. Each piece is unique, hand-embroidered on antique linen, a keeper of history and inner light.

All materials are carefully selected, favoring natural and reclaimed fibers, so that every fabric speaks of a gentler way of living.
For care, wash gently in the machine at 40°, using a natural detergent and no softener. Air dry and iron on the reverse side with a cotton cloth to preserve the embroidery.
