Iboclemeah is a word born in the liminal space between dream and waking, evoking a suspended non-place where the primordial self watches over and preserves the traces of every existence. The embroidery rests inside a crystal and silver vessel, container of the unspeakable. The blank metal label seals its mystery, resisting definition.

Lifting the lid, an eye reveals itself—watchful, unmoving, surrounded by rays of light. Within it, a milky glass sphere orbits endlessly, a wandering bulb of absolute vision.

Description

Created in August 2022, this hand embroidery in vintage cotton thread on a cotton percale doily (28×28 cm) is enclosed, together with a glass marble, in a crystal and silver sugar bowl adorned with a silver chain and a small metal label tag (8.5×8.5×11 cm).

Iboclemeah belongs to the series Emotional Archaeology, where each stitched fragment embodies an inner memory preserved in physical form. The creative process unfolds through found objects, timeworn fabrics, and autobiographical impressions. Every work is unique and unrepeatable, a one-of-a-kind trace of lived experience, carrying within it both fragility and permanence. In this sense, the piece is not only an object but also a vessel of duration, an artifact that slows down time and allows memory to become tactile, visible, and inhabitable.

The materials are delicate and often irreplaceable: vintage medical gauze, hand-drawn tissue papers, translucent fabrics, elements of glass, wood, and metal. Some are reclaimed, others transformed over time by wear, history, or environment. Each component is chosen for its tactile and evocative qualities, assembled with a respect that preserves its identity while weaving it into a new narrative. The embroidery itself functions as both mark and memory, a physical inscription of what might otherwise remain invisible.

The piece is shipped in custom, plastic-free packaging, protected with natural materials. It is intended to be kept indoors, in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. The embroidery can be washed in a washing machine at 40° with natural detergent and without softener. The box should not be opened frequently and must be handled with care: the materials are fragile and will endure only if safeguarded attentively, allowing the work to remain as a lasting witness of memory made tangible.
