Description

Created in October 2018, this hand embroidery on light linen (40×35 cm) is housed inside a cardboard box (28×17×23 cm) covered with chalk drawings, glass, seeds, natural materials, and a glazed tile.

Blow, Wind, Come Shipwreck belongs to the series Emotional Archeology, where each stitched fragment embodies an inner memory preserved in physical form. The creative process begins with found objects, lived-in fabrics, and autobiographical impressions, unfolding into compositions that cannot be repeated. Each piece is singular, a fragile constellation of gestures and materials.

The materials used are delicate and often irreplaceable: vintage medical gauze, hand-drawn tissue papers, translucent fabrics, and elements of glass, wood, and metal. Some are recycled, others bear the slow traces of time’s transformation. Each component is chosen for its tactile resonance and evocative presence, then assembled in ways that safeguard its identity while allowing new connections to emerge.

Every piece is shipped in a custom-made package, protected with natural, plastic-free materials. It is intended to be kept indoors, in a dry environment away from sunlight and humidity. The embroidery may be gently machine washed at 40°C with a natural detergent, without fabric softener. The box should not be opened frequently and must be handled with care: the fragile materials are meant to endure only if preserved attentively.
