An iris unfolds in the embroidery, symbol of trust and wisdom. An insect rests upon it—once a caterpillar, perhaps fed by the same plant. Parasite or part of the cycle? Humanity’s misunderstanding of what surrounds it echoes in the urge to separate, to poison, to fight what it depends on.
A fragile balance, a fleeting truce among earth’s creatures, where the only possible path to continuity is the connection between living beings.
Created in July 2022, this hand embroidery on a vintage linen cloth (approximately 50×49 cm) rests inside a tin candy box (25×18×11 cm) filled with homeopathic granules and raw clay spheres, layered with handmade paper flowers, an artisanal soap, and a glass die.
“All Is Vain Beyond This Infinite Sky belongs to the series Emotional Archeology, where each stitched fragment becomes an inner memory given physical form. The creative process unfolds from found objects, lived-in fabrics, and autobiographical impressions. Every piece is unique, an unrepeatable constellation of materials, gestures, and time.
The materials employed are fragile and often singular: vintage medical gauze, hand-drawn tissue papers, translucent fabrics, and small elements of glass, wood, and metal. Some objects are salvaged, others marked by the slow transformation of years. Each component is chosen for its tactile resonance and evocative presence, then assembled to preserve its original identity while opening to new associations.
Each work is delivered in a custom-made package, plastic-free and protected with natural materials. It should be kept in a dry indoor environment, away from sunlight and humidity. The embroidery may be gently machine washed at 40°C with a natural detergent, without fabric softener. The tin box should not be opened often and must be handled with care: the materials are delicate and meant to endure only if safeguarded attentively.
