Pillowcase made in June 2024, crafted from antique linen cut from a family trousseau in Rieti, monogrammed with the letters FL (approx. 48×52 cm).
The embroidery is hand-stitched on the front with vintage cotton thread. Every stitch carries a silent story, every seam a gesture that binds memory, body, and care.

This pillowcase belongs to the Nest Geographies series, a collection of textile works dedicated to the home as a dwelling of the soul. Each piece is a fragment of lived experience, an invisible diary revealed through the fabric’s weave and the choice of materials. Every stitch is an act of listening and resistance, a way of tracing with needle and thread an intimate, unrepeatable emotional landscape.

The textiles used come from forgotten household trousseaus, witnesses of an ancient daily life. Linen and cotton carry the memory of hands that prepared, waited, and preserved. Embroidery becomes a poetic gesture that digs into matter and resurfaces. Each pillowcase is conceived as a small geography of dwelling—an object that has already lived, and that continues to tell something of those who touch it, use it, or gaze upon it.

The closure is finished with hand-sewn metal snaps. Pillow insert not included.
It can be machine-washed at 40°C with natural detergent, without fabric softener. Air drying is recommended. To iron, place a thin cotton cloth on top and iron on the reverse side.
